Make Your Boliers Environmental Friendly: A Ptfolio of Advanced Technologies abstract
Public tolerance to deterioration air quality has changed over the last decades. As a consequence, under the leadership of the united Nations, numerous countries have implemented several environmental conventions and protocols. Iran has adopted many of them, such as the UN Framework convention on Climate Change and the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, just to name a couple.
The trend is towards the implementation of increasingly stringent environmental regulations. In particular, fossil fuel fired boiler operators, either for power generation or cleaner and do this within a short frame.
Rather than select the costly option to scrap assets which are will profitable , the operators are able to retrofit their existing assets with technologies which have been developed and tested, to achieve full environmental compliance.
The paper will first introduce examples of environmental regulations. Then it will focus on technologies which can be implemented in existing fossil – fuel fired boilers to reduce their emissions to the atmosphere , in particular emissions of nitrogen oxides , sulphur oxides, particulates and carbon dioxide.
Finally , some case studies of successfully completed projects will be briefly presented
