Abstract:
In this paper, a full adder cell based onminority function using Carbon-Nanotube Field-EffectTransistor (CNFET) technology is presented. CNFETspossess considerable features that lead to their wide usage indigital circuits design. For the design of the cell inputcapacitors and CMOS inverters are used. These kinds ofdesign method cause a high degree of regularity andsimplicity. The proposed design can be used in manyapplications specifically wherever the low power consumptionis the goal. The proposed full adder cell is compared to fivefull adders in terms of power consumption, speed, and powerdelay product (PDP). Simulation results demonstrate thehigher efficiency with respect to other conventional andmodern CNFET and MOSFET implementations. AllSimulations are performed by using Synopsys HSPICE with۳۲ nm CMOS and ۳۲ nm CNFET technologies. Severalsimulations are performed by using the different loadcapacitors, frequencies and temperatures.
