Abstract:

The airline industry is undergoing significant transformation driven byrapid technological advancements, evolving market demands, andincreasing competitive pressures. This study examines the strategic andtransformational role of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the airlinesector, focusing on their impact on strategic planning, operationalefficiency, digital transformation, and customer experience. By integratingboth qualitative and quantitative research methods, including structuredinterviews with industry experts and detailed case studies, the researchidentifies critical KPIs that enhance various aspects of airlinemanagement. Key findings highlight the importance of KPIs such as ontimeperformance, fuel efficiency, and customer satisfaction scores indriving operational and strategic success. The study also underscores theneed for region-specific KPI frameworks to address unique market andregulatory environments, particularly in emerging markets like Iran.Future research directions include developing integrated KPI modelsadaptable to different market conditions and exploring the long-termimpacts of strategic KPIs. This comprehensive approach to KPImanagement is essential for achieving sustainable growth and maintaininga competitive edge in the rapidly evolving airline industry.
