The Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Based Therapy on Hardiness, Resilience and Quality of Life in Employees of Electric Power Distribution Company

This research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on resilience, hardiness, and quality of life of employees at the power distribution company. The study method was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test with a control group and a three-month follow-up, conducted on all employees working at the power distribution company in Kermanshah province in ۲۰۲۲. A total of ۴۰ individuals participated in the study. Participants were selected through purposive sampling and randomly divided into two groups: experimental and control (۲۰ individuals in each group). After the pre-test using the hardiness scale (Kobasa, ۱۹۷۹), resilience (Connor, ۱۹۷۹), and quality of life (Testa, ۲۰۱۴), the experimental group underwent ۱۰ sessions of ۹۰ minutes each week of acceptance and commitment-based therapy, while the control group received no training. To assess the impact of the training, a post-test was administered to both the experimental and control groups. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS.۲۳ software and multivariate analysis of covariance. The results indicated that acceptance and commitment therapy led to a significant difference in hardiness, resilience, and quality of life among employees of the power distribution company (P≤۰.۰۰۱).
