Nodal pressure value to develop Girvan-Newman algorithm for water network distribution partitioning abstract
Partitioning netw into district metered areas (DMA) is is a practical approach for pressure management and minimizing water leakage in Water Distribution Networks (WDNs). Various methods, such as engineering judgment, optimization technique, and graph theory, are commonly used to determine the DMATHE girvan-newmanGNalgorithm is a traditional method for network partitioning this method is based on mathematical parameters without using the network characteristics .this method is developed in this study to enhance the GN algorithms performance by considering water network quantes.in the proposed method average nodal pressure is calculated to determine iunction weights then edge scores are assigned based on these weights and the highest scores edgesare removed to achieve the desired number of DMAs.
