Abstract:

The incorporation of big data analytics has emerged as a crucial differentiator for companies seeking to improve their decision-making and risk management procedures in the quickly changing financial landscape. This study looks into the relationship between market risk and big data usage across top Iranian companies in a range of industries. Through the use of a dataset comprising financial metrics, market performance indicators, and big data utilization status, we investigate whether the risk profiles of companies using big data differ from those of companies not using it. According to the report, businesses that use big data typically have a lower correlation with market indexes as a whole, which may indicate a reduction in systematic risk. The report also explores industry-specific dynamics, showing how various businesses are affected by big data differently in terms of risk management techniques. These findings contribute to the growing body of literature on big data's role in financial performance and risk, providing valuable insights for both practitioners and academics in finance and technology
