Abstract:

In this paper, a gas absorbers based on graphene is proposed, which has a sensitivity of ۰.۸ THz/RIU. The main idea of these proposals is to use L-shaped graphene on the absorbent surface. Next, we tried to improve its characteristics by adding a gold block on the surface of the absorber. When gold blocks are not present, surface plasmon polariton (SPP) is excited at the edges of L-shaped graphene flakes. The inner edges of the graphene pieces are where the electric field is the strongest. When we add the gold yolk, the SPPs are also emitted from around this block, which increases the absorption ratio.
