Abstract:

The aim of the current research was to investigate the role of dysfunctional schemas, dark personality traits, emotional inhibition and shame in predicting unsatisfactory sexual relations of couples.The current research is practical in terms of its purpose, and in terms of its implementation method, it is a descriptive and corelational study.In the current research, the research community was formed by all couples with sexual dissatisfaction in Tabriz city in ۱۴۰۱. ۱۶۰ of these couples were selected by voluntary sampling methodand Hudson, Harrison and Crosscup (۱۹۸۱) sexual satisfaction scale questionnaires, Jonason and Webster's Dirty Dozen questionnaire (۲۰۱۰), Yang schema questionnaire (۲۰۰۳), Kellner's emotional inhibition questionnaire (۱۹۸۶) and Cohen, Wolff, Shame and Guilt Readiness Scale. Penter and Insko (۲۰۱۱) were completed. The results were analyzed with Spss software version ۲۶.The findings of the research showed that the variable of sexual dissatisfaction can be predicted as much as ۴۰.۳% by ineffective schemas, ۳۳.۶% by narcissism, ۳۴.۷% by emotional inhibition and ۳۲.۹% by shame.Therefore, it is possible to prevent sexual dissatisfaction in couples by embedding programs that reduce ineffective schemas, dark personality traits, emotional inhibition and shame in couples.
