Latest on Cement Industrial related stress disorders and Buspirone compared to Benzodiazepines in their treatment

Objective: To determine the safer and more effective between Buspirone ,Alprazolam and Diazepam(Benzodiazepines) in the treatment of Cement industrial related stress disorders(anxiety).Methods: A total of 150 cement industry workers suffering from Cement industrial related stress(anxiety) disorders were provided with Buspirone tabs 5mg /b.d tabs(50 workers)at and after work, Alprazolam tabs 1mg/o.d.(50 patients),after work and Diazepam tabs 2mg o.d (50 workers),after work for their cement industrial related stress disorders(anxiety) who were reporting to the medical center of the said factory, or to Al-ShafaHospital, Gujrat ,Pakistan over a period of two years, during my administration of that hospital in the outdoor departments. The workers were followed up in the industrial medical center or outdoor departments on subsequent visits and by telephone. The medicines were provided by a reputed pharmaceutical company Tehran ,Iran for this study. .Results: Buspirone had lesser side effects and was more effective in relieving cement industrialrelated stress(anxiety)disorders and symptoms in 49/50(98%)workers,42/50 workers(70%) reported Alprazolam to be better and 35/50 workers(60%) were reporting relief with Diazepam. Still Alprazolam and Diazepam had more side effects in these workers.Conclusion: Buspirone is superior to Alprazolam and Diazepam for the treatment of cement industrial related stress(anxiety) disorders.
