Abstract:
Polymer concretes can be considered as a combination of natural fibers, polymer and fine andcoarse aggregates. In the process of mixing polymer concrete, we do not use water and insteadof water we use liquid resin or monomer. Despite the increasing use of ordinary concrete dueto its positive properties, it has limitations due to the Portland cement used in it. Among theseweaknesses and limitations, we can mention low resistance to chemicals, low bending strengthand low breaking strain. To solve these problems, nowadays polymers are used as the samesubstitute or mixed with cement, which increases the resistance to gradual deterioration andsuccessive freezing and thawing, the durability of concrete and the reduction of waterpenetration.
