Abstract:
Weather forecasting relies on quick access to extensive information, necessitating frequentupdates due to the rapid changes in meteorological observations. Satellites areexceptional sources of this data, offering broad coverage and immediate access. Satelliteimagery enables synoptic studies of atmospheric conditions and aids in weatherpredictions based on atmospheric physics and historical behavior. This researchinvestigates and compares various bias correction methods for satellite products in Iran'sGolestan province to identify the most effective approach. Alongside precipitation datafrom ground stations, the study also analyzes two types of satellite data: calibrated dataand predicted data that account for various factors affecting precipitation.
