Abstract:

The medical services sector is rapidly facing substantial issues in data security, patient privacy, and the integrity of critical health information. As firms use modern technology to improve service delivery, they expose themselves to a variety of cyber hazards, such as data breaches and insider threats. The article investigates the complex dangers to medical data security, focusing on the worrisome increase in cyberattacks and the often-overlooked hazards provided by insider threats. The delicate nature of healthcare data makes the sector particularly vulnerable, demanding strict adherence to legal frameworks such as HIPAA and GDPR to protect patient information. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain have been recognized as important answers to these concerns. These technologies not only improve data security but also encourage interoperability, allowing healthcare providers to easily access correct patient information. The article underlines the significance of deploying security measures, such as encryption, access limits, and frequent audits, to reduce risks and build an accountability culture inside healthcare institutions. Furthermore, establishing and sustaining patient trust is emphasized as an essential component of good healthcare delivery.
