Abstract:
This qualitative empirical study explores the roles of English language and digital technology in promoting sustainable tourism practices, with a focus on effective communication, inclusivity, and eco-friendly measures. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with key stakeholders in the tourism industry, including tourism service providers, travelers, and policymakers, to gain in-depth insights into their experiences and perspectives on the impact of English language and digital technology. The findings of this study provide empirical evidence on the significance of the English language in facilitating effective communication between stakeholders and fostering an inclusive work environment in the tourism industry. Moreover, the adoption of digital technology was found to contribute to the implementation of eco-friendly practices, such as paperless bookings and smart navigation. These results emphasize the potential of the English language and digital technology in promoting sustainable tourism development and suggest the importance of leveraging these elements to enhance the overall sustainability of the industry.
