Evaluating tourism climate of city of Gonabad

Climate of a region can be a tourism attraction. This study has been done using Terjung Index to evaluate climatic comfort status and determine adequate time for tourism in city of Gonabad. To achieve this climatic data from a 20 years period (1990-2010) have been used. The results indicate that bioclimatic comfort in area under study, in months of May, June, and September is adequate for tourism. It’s expected that the authorities with correct planning be able to create adequate conditions for tourism, recreational, and leisure activities. This can have an effective role in increasing revenue, developing employment and employment rate in the region
