Brain Blood Vessel Map Extraction Using Waveletbased DSA Fusion abstract
Recently image fusion has prominent and applicableroles in medical image processing. Digital subtractionangiography (DSA) image is applied to display map of bloodvessels. In this paper, a new fusion algorithm for DSA serialimages based on discrete wavelet transform coefficients isproposed. Our algorithm will be compared for different wavelettransforms and activity criteria for high frequency coefficients.The comparisons are based on the objective evaluation criteriawhich show measure of noise existence, sharpness and correlationbetween the fusion result and reference image. Finally, we specifywhich type of wavelet transform and activity criterion resultsmore informative brain blood vessel map.
