Abstract:

Hastelloy X is an alloy of nickel, chromium, iron, and molybdenum. The most important properties of Hastelloy X superalloy include oxidation resistance, high-temperature strength (high creep strength), good formability, excellent weldability, and stress corrosion resistance. This superalloy has a very high resistance to oxidation up to about ۱۲۰۰ °C. Therefore, it has many applications at high temperatures. Due to its high formability, it can be formed by cold working in addition to hot working. In analyzing the deformation of this sheet, the Forming Limit Diagrams (FLD) of this alloy are needed. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to extract the forming limit diagrams for Hastelloy superalloy using two-axis stretching method and Digital Image Correlation (DIC) analysis.
