Abstract:
Although the merits of maintaining the innovation and innovativeness have been extensively discussed in the literature, studies examining the empirical link between their relationship and performance have shown mixed results. The relationships among innovation, innovativeness and performance are rarely discussed investigated from a holistic perspective. This leads to reductionism in modeling and prevents the full exploration of the potentially complex relationships among these variables and their impact on innovativeness. Based on a review of relevant literature and theoretical conceptionalizations, this paper posited market orientation, learning orientation, and entrepreneurial orientation, which are influenced by culture orientation, have an impact on firm innovativeness. This paper reviews some of the recent literature on the interaction of R&D, market orientation, innovation, and business success.
