Comparison of PAPR reduction methods based on signal scrambling techniques for OFDM systems

The main drawback of OFDM system is high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) for large number of sub-carriers,which result in many restrictions for practical applications. In this paper, we will mainly investigate and compare thePAPR reduction performance with two different PAPR reduction methods: partial transmit sequence (PTS) andselective mapping (SLM). The main aim of this paper is to identify a suitable algorithm by simulation of SLM andPTS methods. The results of this work is promising, and they can be considered as a backbone for future programs.
