Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a transformative force in modern healthcare, revolutionizing the structure and function of medical systems in recent years. Through automation, data-driven insights, and advanced clinical support tools, AI has redefined traditional approaches to diagnosis, treatment, drug development, and patient care. Its integration into medical imaging has improved diagnostic accuracy, enabled earlier detection of diseases such as cancer, and streamlined clinical trials and drug discovery. In oncology, AI analyzes radiological images such as CT scans to identify potentially cancerous patterns, playing a critical role in early and accurate cancer diagnosis and in developing effective treatment plans. In drug development, AI accelerates the identification of effective molecules with fewer side effects by analyzing vast and complex datasets, making the process faster and more efficient. Moreover, AI has laid the groundwork for personalized medicine by analyzing vast datasets to tailor treatments. This report explores how AI technologies are reshaping the medical system from patient screening and disease management to research and policy-making highlighting its central role in modern medical transformation. It also addresses key challenges, including data privacy, algorithmic transparency, and the mitigation of biases, which must be managed to ensure ethical and equitable use of AI in healthcare.
