Abstract:
One of the major problems in concreting is individual errors from the production stage to the finishing stage. Therefore, the more mechanization we use in preparing concrete, the less error is minimized, and the compaction of concrete is one of the final stages that can have a very high impact on the quality of hardened concrete. Therefore, self-compacting concrete, which is a type of concrete with high slump, has had many fans in the engineering field. To prepare this concrete, the use of standard-sized aggregates and the use of lubricants and other additives are relevant requirements. In this study, we have used two lubricants with different structures, namely lignosulfonate and polycarboxylate lubricant. The amount of cement was ۴۰۰ kg/m۳ and the water to cement ratio was ۲۵%. Studies on concrete show that carboxylate lubricant had a better effect on self-compacting concrete.
