Abstract:
In this study, we investigated the effect of various aggregates obtained from quarries. As we know, aggregates constitute more than ۷۵ percent of the volume of concrete, which is the most important factor in the strength of concrete. Different quarries of aggregates have different effects on the physical characteristics of concrete, depending on their structure. Given the limited availability of aggregates in some cities, it is sometimes necessary to use quarries from other cities in a combined or exclusive manner in the concrete in question. In this study, we have considered using three crushed stone quarries from different cities. The aggregates were from the cities of Gonbad Kavous, Sahra Sand and Sand, and the production of the Azad Shahr Sand Crusher and Kalaleh Municipality Mine. The amount of cement and water in the mixture was fixed, and our variable was only the aggregates used. The amount of cement was ۳۵۰ kg/cubic meter and the water to cement ratio was ۵۰ percent. To measure the samples, compressive strength and carbonation tests, as well as acidity resistance and water absorption in hardened concrete, and slump tests in fresh concrete were used.
