Abstract:
Chatbots, as intelligent systems driven by natural language processing, have increasingly gained importance in a wide range of fields over the past years. Their most notable advantages include round-the-clock accessibility, significant time and cost efficiency, rapid and accurate service delivery, the capacity to handle multiple users simultaneously, and the ability to personalize responses according to user needs. These features have contributed to their widespread use in domains such as education, counseling, psychology, healthcare, marketing, and customer support. In addition to improving efficiency, chatbots can also enhance user engagement by providing consistent and immediate feedback. Despite these benefits, the use of chatbots is not without challenges. They are still unable to fully grasp the depth of human emotions or demonstrate genuine empathy, which limits their effectiveness in sensitive interactions. Furthermore, their performance is heavily dependent on the quality of data and algorithms used in their design, and in certain contexts, excessive reliance on chatbots may risk reducing direct human-to-human communication.
