Abstract:
The landscape of education is evolving rapidly, with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) offering unprecedented opportunities to transform traditional teaching and learning practices. Among these technologies, generative AI holds significant promise for revolutionizing curriculum design, particularly in K–۱۲ educations. This paper explores how generative AI can be leveraged to create personalized, adaptive curricula that cater to the diverse learning needs and preferences of students. By utilizing AI's capabilities in data analysis, pattern recognition, and content generation, educational systems can move beyond automation to design curricula that dynamically respond to individual student progress, engagement levels, and learning styles. This study reviews current applications of AI in education and investigates the potential of generative models, such as neural networks and natural language processing, in designing customized learning experiences. The paper also discusses the ethical considerations, challenges, and future directions of integrating AI into curriculum development, emphasizing the importance of maintaining educational equity, transparency, and teacher involvement. Overall, this research highlights the transformative potential of generative AI in shaping a more personalized and inclusive educational landscape for K–۱۲ learners.
