Abstract:
This study presents a data-driven investigation into geometric body defects in the Haima۷ automotive platform, utilizing real CMM measurement data and quality gate findings collected over a one-month production period. By correlating dimensional deviations of critical body-in-white components with customer-reported complaints and internal inspection records, the research applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify high-impact geometric nonconformities. Benchmarking against corrective strategies adopted by global OEMs such as Toyota and BMW, the study proposes a structured framework for early defect detection and process optimization. The use of actual production data reinforces the practical relevance of the findings and underlines the importance of integrated quality control in body manufacturing systems.
