Abstract:

Flaring, the controlled burning of excess gas during oil and gas production, is a common practice in the industry. While flaring is necessary for safety and operational reasons, it also has significant environmental implications such as greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution. This manuscript provides an in-depth analysis of flaring in the oil and gas industry, including the current trends, environmental impact, and sustainable solutions to mitigate its adverse effects.
