Abstract:

Climate change, as one of the greatest challenges of contemporary society, arises from human activities such as fossil fuel consumption and deforestation, leading to profound and widespread consequences for human life and ecosystems. These changes result in rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and the occurrence of natural disasters, carrying significant social, economic, and cultural impacts. One of the critical consequences of these changes is the increase in climate-induced migration, which refers to the displacement of individuals due to adverse environmental effects. While these migrations can create opportunities for economic growth, they also impose additional pressures on the infrastructure and public services of host communities. This paper examines the impacts of climate-induced migration on social and cultural sustainability, analyzes demographic challenges, and provides management strategies for these challenges. The primary objective of this research is to identify the challenges and opportunities arising from climate-induced migration and to offer practical recommendations for policymakers and social activists.
