Abstract:
An numerical investigation has been carried out to study the heat transfer characteristics of nanofluid flow inside helical tube under constant heat flux. Nanofluids with different particle weight concentrations of 0.5%, 1% and 2% are used. The effect of different parameters such as flow Reynolds number, fluid temperature and nanofluid particle concentration on heat transfer coefficient of the flow are studied. Results such as Nusselt number and heat transfer coefficient obtained from numerical model compared to the experimental results. also to verify the accuracy, grid independency has studied. Observations show that this new numerical method has high accuracy and can correctly predict the heat transfer behavior of nanofluids
