Abstract:
BSC, famous as Balanced Scorecard has been recently suggested as a strategic management evaluation system. In this article, the strategic plans are identified, using aTechnique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) decision model. Strategic management is significant for organizational success and competitive advantage ina vast competitive business surrounding. Numerous organizations have adopted the balancedscorecard to achieve business excellence as well as success in the marketplace. It is a workable tool for designing and sketching operational strategies. However, the BSC modelhas some disadvantages and problems which disable the identifying of priorities in strategic plans (Initiatives). In this article, the strategic plans are identified, using a Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) decision model. In addition,assessing and determining the strategic plans is developed in the BSC model, using expert panel opinion and using TOPSIS method. Results showed that the suggested model is more reliable and acceptable and the experts verified the model for selecting strategic plans in theBSC in practice. The designed model has been used in a real case study and the results have been analyzed from different perspectives and viewpoints. In this article, initiative is called strategic plans.
