Abstract:
The importance of knowledge-based companies in the economy of countries and its role in the gross national product has increased attention to these companies in recent years, and many efforts have been made to reach criteria and a comprehensive and consistent model for evaluating these companies. In the past, companies were classified and evaluated as knowledge-based only by confirming the level of technology, the existence of research and development, and having at least a laboratory sample of the product. But in the new method, companies are divided into three categories: startups, innovators, and technologists. It has clearly found an economic approach, and they have been identified, evaluated and categorized based on the indicators of knowledge and new technology and product production. The issue of evaluating the performance of knowledge-based companies is still new in Iran and not much time has passed, and in the past, not many researches have been conducted on suitable examples of these companies.The aim of the current research is to evaluate the performance of work units in knowledge-based companies with the approach of data envelopment analysis. The research method is applied. The data collection tool was the databases of the PeymanTahkim Khuzestan Engineering Knowledge Base Company. Data analysis method and DEA software were used for data analysis. According to the findings, it was determined that according to the CCR model, the calibration unit (Unit No. ۵) with an efficiency of ۱, the research and development unit (Unit No. ۳) with an efficiency value of ۰.۹۰, and the commercial unit (Unit No. ۲) with an efficiency value of ۰.۸۸ were placed in the first to third priorities. Also, according to the AP model, Unit No. ۵ or the calibration unit has an efficiency of ۱.
