Abstract:
The regeneration/reclamation of used transformater oil using adsorbents is considered one of the most efficient methods for treating oil pollutants. In this paper, we developed a mesoporous active γ-boehmite from a through heat-treatment/acid-leaching (TC) and vice-versa (CT). The specific surface area(BET) and chemical composition of the elements (XFR) of the samples were investigated. The surface area of active γ-boehmite was as high as ۲۴۵.۹۳ m۲/gr. When using both synthesized adsorbents for the regeneration of used oil, the TC adsorbent demonstrated better performance in the physical and electrical properties of the oil.
