Abstract:

This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between personality traits and the initial maladaptive schema in runaway women and girls. The descriptive research method was correlation type. The statistical population of all women and girls who ran away from home between the ages of ۱۵ and ۲۰ years old and living in welfare crisis intervention centers in Tehran province, whose number was ۱۹۰, and ۱۲۴ of them were selected by available sampling. The research tools were Eysenck's Personality Traits Questionnaire (۱۹۶۰) and Young's Primary Maladaptive Schema (۱۹۹۵). Data was analyzed by Pearson correlation and regression. The results of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between personality traits and the initial maladaptive schema in runaway women and girls.
