Abstract:

In this research, compressive strength, carbonation, and durability against acid were investigated. To prepare baked clays, a clay brick mill heated to ۲۰۰۰ degrees Celsius was used, with a maximum grain size of ۳۵ microns. These clays were used in self-compacting concretes with a maximum aggregate size of ۱۴ mm and a cement content of ۵۵۰ kg/m۳. To test the samples from the angle of resistance, we used compressive strength and flexural strength tests, and for the durability of concrete, we also used carbonation and acid resistance tests. A total of ۱۲۰ concrete samples were prepared for the tests at ۲۸ and ۹۰ days, of which ۳ samples for each composition were tested at ۲۸ and ۳ samples at ۹۰ days. The strength of the samples has improved with increasing baked clay, with less carbonation and a lower percentage of loss in compressive strength.
