Investigation into the Impact of Cognitive Abilities and Self-Efficacy on Financial Behavior (Case Study: Employees of Refah Bank in Iran)

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of cognitive abilities and self-efficacy on financial behavior (case study: employees of Refah Kargaran Bank in Iran). In this regard, after reviewing the concepts of cognitive abilities, self-efficacy, and financial behavior, the study investigates the impact of cognitive abilities and self-efficacy using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The statistical population of this research consists of employees of Refah Kargaran Bank in Iran, with a sample size of ۳۷۳ individuals determined based on the statistical population size using the Morgan-Krejcie table. These individuals were selected through stratified random sampling. To collect data, a questionnaire was used, which was validated for content validity by experts, and construct validity and structure were confirmed through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) in SPSS and Smart-PLS۲ software. The reliability of the instrument was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. In order to analyze the data, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used for normality testing, and regression and path analysis tests were employed to examine the hypotheses. The results showed that cognitive abilities and self-efficacy significantly impact financial behavior. Additionally, the findings indicated that self-efficacy mediates the relationship between cognitive abilities and financial behavior.
