Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming critical sectors such as healthcare, finance, and engineering, yet its rapid adoption raises significant ethical concerns. While AI enhances efficiency and innovation, it also introduces risks like algorithmic bias, opaque decision-making, privacy violations, and accountability gaps. These challenges threaten individual rights and public trust in AI systems. This study examines the ethical dilemmas inherent in AI development and deployment, with a focus on engineering applications. Through a systematic review of literature, global ethical frameworks, and real-world case studies, the paper identifies shortcomings in existing regulations and advocates for a robust, interdisciplinary approach to Al governance. Practical recommendations are proposed to mitigate risks, ensuring AI aligns with human values, societal expectations, and sustainable development.
