Abstract:
Today, applying new technologies, reforming attitudes and traditional techniques are veryimportant in building industry. Recent progress of building materials and outstandingbuild techniques provide very versatile means for architecture designs. The prominentfeature of concrete, such as easy applying, plasticity, economical, stability againstpressure, having the firmness and endurance, convert it to the most useful buildingmaterials. The present paper describes some prominent applications of concrete inarchitecture fields and demonstrates some rules related to designing of concrete buildings.In this direction, based on reinforced concrete, it is introduced and analyzed someexperiences of sustainable architecture against earthquake. Furthermore, focusing on theconcrete, we represent some strategies of building design based on seismic stability
