Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the emotional intelligence of managers employed in the banks of Iran. The sample of the study comprises 291 managers. The findings of the study revealed that there was a significant difference in managers’ job performance in terms of type of bank. The study also showed that there was no significant difference in managers’ emotional intelligence in terms of type of bank. Result of Factorial ANOVA about age, management experience, and education level showed that there was no significant difference in job performance in terms of age, management experience, and education level. On the other hand, the main effect of age, management experience, education level, and interaction between them is not significant. Besides, there was a correlation between emotional intelligence and job performance.
