Comparison of Cognitive Intelligence and Creativity of the Teachers in Ahwaz abstract
The aim of this study was to compare cognitive intelligence and creativity of the teachers in Ahwaz. The participants in the study were 200 randomly selected volunteers (100 men and 100 women) from teachers in this city. The tools used in this study were Raven’s advanced progressive Matrices test and Torrance’s creativity questionnaire. The research design was a comparative type. In analyzing data, both descriptive statistics such as mean, standarddeviation, minimum and maximum scores and inferential statistics such as multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used.Results of the multivariate analysis (MANOVA) indicated that there are no significant cognitive differences between men and women in terms of their intelligence (F=1.32, P<0.260); however, there was a significant difference between men and women in terms of creativity (F=7.45, P<0.004).
