Abstract:
Three hydrocarbon selectivity models for Fischer-Tropsch-Synthesis (FTS) have been considered in this work: a model proposed by Zimmerman and Bukur, a model proposed by Van der Laan and Beenackers, and a model proposed by Nowicki and Bukur. Validity of these models has been tested using experimental data from a laboratory stirred tank reactor with a commercial iron based catalyst. Models were compared through their mean absolute relative residuals (MARR). All models fit well with experimental data and MARR values were in the same range, this allows us to choose the simplest model that is the ORPDM proposed by Van der Laan and Beenackers
