Abstract:

Informal settlement in the general mean includes all those who are living within the city's economic area, but they were not attracted in the city's economy. Felt informal settlement, from the social aspect makes people feel Loss of identity, especially the young. Due to the illegal settlement, it also led to the spread of poverty, endangering the environment and imposes heavy costs to solve problems, is considered as a serious problem for urban sustainability and integrity. We met in Tehran with most of informal settlement. So it is very necessary to get rid of it. 20 Factors in our previous studies to identify the causes of informal settlement were recognized. And experts also confirmed the factors. The questionnaire was designed and distributed among city managers in different departments. After collecting data, we find that four of them are the least important, then they've removed and "financial capacity of municipalities and municipal entities" were the most important factor in the occurrence of such a phenomenon in Tehran. To control the phenomenon, Centrifugal policy in different aspects and urban participation were suggested.
