An 8-channel Data Logger Based on Universal Serial Bus (USB) Flash Disc

In this paper a brief report on constructing a general purpose data logger based on ubiquitous universal serial bus (USB) flash discs are presented. This data logger can log 8 analog channels simultaneously with respect to ground, convert them to digitized values and store them to an ordinary flash disc. The converted data are equipped with time and date tags and simply written in a text file. All fields’ values are separated by commas and finally form a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file which easily can be read by common spreadsheet software like MS Excel.
