Abstract:
In this paper, conducting, magnetic polypyrrole/Ba0.5Sr0.5Fe11(Ni0.5Co0.5)O19 nanocomposite was fabricated successfullyvia sol-gel method and in situ polymerization.The products were characterized using SEM, FT-IR, EDX, DRS, XRDand VSM analyses. The DC conductivity measured by means of four-wire-technique and finally vector network analyzerwas employed to determine the ability of composites in microwave absorption at the range of 8-12 GHz (X-band). Thecoexistence of magnetic phase with conducting phase effects on enhancing the electromagnetic wave absorption, and aminimum reflection loss of −17.2 db at the frequency of 10.8 GHz was simply obtained. These results suggest that thesynthesized magnetic composites can be employed as effective microwave absorbers in various devices.
