Abstract:
The combination between architecture and structure has always been a great deal for architects and engineers. For having great architectural works there should always be appropriate combination between the architectural and constructional designs. This research will study the laminated wood structure and its characteristics, PTFE translucence membrane and the combination of laminated wood structure and tensile PTFE membrane. The mentioned combination will first be introduce in George Pompidou-Metz art center one of the greatest architectural buildings in the world and in continuation this synthesize will be apply in a restaurant complex situated in Shiraz one of Iran’s greatest cities in hot and dry plateau. This study aims to introduce the relationship between architectural and structural designs in architectural buildings specially in Iran’s hot and dry region. This study will also indicates some structural details and designs based on laminated wood structure and PTFE tensile membrane
