Abstract:
In this research, a modified regulator is applied to a road vehicle to obtain a satisfactory longitudinal slip for each wheel while braking. A three DOF model including all of the system’s nonlinearities is used to estimate vehicle velocities using longitudinal and lateral accelerations and yaw rate of the vehicle. To evaluate the performance of the proposed ABS system a full vehicle model of the reference car is developed in ADAMS/Car. Simulation results reveal the effectiveness of the proposed regulator.
