Abstract:
In This paper, deformation of a sandy beach bed due to the beach wave’s effect has been simulated employing a proposed incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (ISPH). The proposed method is a combination of the two so-called SPH projection methods and consists of two Poisson equations. In The first Poisson equation, changes in density are considered at the source term. This step serves as a predictor step, while in the second Poisson equation; source term is proportional to the velocity divergence to impose incompressibility constraint. A new SPH algorithm increases the stability and accuracy of this method. The deformation of a sandy beach bed has been studied by proposed projection SPH method based on a laboratory model. Comparison of the obtained results with the experimental and numerical results indicates ability of this method to simulate these kinds of flows
