Identification of Barriers to Sports Tourism In Fars Province

Background: This research aims to investigate the barriers affecting underdevelopment of sports tourism in Fars province. Materials and methods: Subjects of this research included 73people of the most activeShiraz exercise area, 53/5% for males and 31/4% for female with an average age of 37/24...Participants were asked to complete the five scale barriers of tourism development questionnaires. For the analysis of the raw data, descriptive statistics and for the inferentialstatistics part, binomial test and Friedman ANOVA were used. Results and discussions: The results of this research in binomial test showed thatcomponents of technology barriers (p=0/0001) components of administrative barriers (p=0/0001) components of cultural- Social barriers (p=0/0001) of this survey have been statistically significant from the respondents of the questionnaire view. Friedman ANOVAresults also showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the Two scale components (p=0/0001). Conclusion: According to this result, managers must think and have efforts to developsports tourism programs in the fields of technological, managerial and cultural - social in these areas to achieve better prospects.
