Abstract:
In the present research, the effect of cold working amount and annealing temperature on the microstructure and softening kinetics of commercially pure aluminium strips have been studied. Kinetics of softening is evaluated by Avrami-Johnson equation. In this equation, k and n refer to constant and exponent of Avrami equation, respectively. Reduction of area in cold – rolled commercially pure aluminium strips were 20% and 40% to investigate the degree of cold rolling on kinetics of softening. Also, to evaluate the effect of annealing temperature, the aluminium strips were annealed in 320 oC, 360 oC and 400 oC. The results indicate that by increasing the annealing temperature the values of k and n increase. The values of n and k increase when the degree of cold working increases.
