Abstract:
Mycobacterium tuberculosis genome harbors different mutations and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) which can be further used to differentiate mycobacterial species within the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC). M. tuberculosis isolates can be divided into three principal genotypic groups on the basis of SNPs at codon 463 of the katG gene and at codon 95 of the gyrA gene.
