Removal of Ocular Artifacts from Electro-Encephalogram by Affine Projection Adaptive Algorithm

Although electro-encephalogram (EEG) is very much used in clinical diagnosis and biomedical research, its noise cancellation is an interesting subject for engineering researches. The noise which has already been removed is the electro- oculogram (EOG) product by eye movements. In this paper we use the affine projection algorithm (APA) to eliminate the ocular artifacts from electro-encephalogram signal. Also, we present optimum values for the parameters in this algorithm. Finally, the results have been compared with the normalized least mean squares (NLMS) algorithm.
