Abstract:

This paper presents construction method for reference vector using indirect method while having a self-tuning filter (STF) in shunt active power filter (SAPF) in order to optimize elimination of harmonics. With existing of nonlinear and unbalanced loads in optimizing power quality system, direct total harmonic distortion (THD) is completely powerful and beneficial in comparison to reference vector construction with direct method. Furthermore, indirect method is essential because of using lower sensors that, it results in simplicity of the controlling circuit. In order to extract the parameter with desired (ωn) frequency, STF has been chosen for the input signal. In instantaneous reactive power theory (p-q theory) process of reference vector construction is evaluated considerably. Additionally, experiments are presented in Matlab.
