Abstract:
Polypropylene luminescence fibers were produced through melt spinning using different amounts of phosphor strontium aluminate (SrAl2O4: Eu+2, Dy+3) as a luminescent agent. Structural and photoluminescence properties of the produced nanocompositefibers were studied. FTIR results confirmed the presence of particles in the fibers structure. XRD results showed that there was no significant change in peaks positions, crystal planes, and also crystal size for nanocomposite fibers. Fiber Orientation and shrinkage values decreased by increasing the amount of nanoparticles. The luminescence fibers could be excited with both UV and visible light sources. Luminance intensity after the citation or removal of the light sources decreased.
